Alexis Mejia

Associate Attorney

Alexis Mejia brings a meticulous and compassionate approach to her practice in Family Law, Estate Planning, and Probate. With a deep understanding of how legal structures can impact family legacies, Alexis focuses on guiding clients through complex transitions with both technical precision and empathy. Before joining JORGESON PITTMAN LLP, Alexis established a strong foundation in estate planning and probate administration.

Alexis attended Texas Tech University School of Law, where she served as an Articles Editor for the Estate Planning & Community Property Law Journal. During her tenure, her student comment, “A Piece of You and I: Posthumous Conception and Its Implications on Texas Estate Law,” was published in Volume XIII. Her research proposed critical legislative changes to inheritance rights and insurance benefits for posthumously conceived children. Additionally, Alexis served as a student counselor in the Civil Practice Clinic, representing indigent clients in matters of estate planning, disability law, family law, and real property.

Licensed to practice in both Texas and the District of Columbia, Alexis is dedicated to providing strategic and honest representation to her clients.
